Serbian striker on the cusp of Fulham transfer
Aleksandar Mitrovic is reportedly close to sealing his move to Fulham after being offered permission by Newcastle United to travel to the English capital.
The Serbia international impressed for the Cottagers on loan during the second half of last season where he contributed 12 goals in 17 Championship appearances.
According to Sky Sport News, the Cottagers have managed to agree on an initial £22m fee for the Serbian and he has now been given permission to travel to west London.
It is added that the 23-year-old will undergo a series of medical tests in the next 24 hours before being announced by the Cottagers as their new record signing.
Fulham have been busy in recruiting quality talent in the transfer window and so far, they have signed the likes of Fabri, Maxime Le Marchand, Andre Schurrle and Jean Michael Seri this summer.
Slavisa Jokanovic's side mark their Premier League return with a London derby against Crystal Palace on August 11 before facing another of their cross-town rivals in Tottenham Hotspur.
