Chelsea boss open to Michy Batshuayi stay
Chelsea head coach Maurizio Sarri has reportedly revealed his desire to keep hold of Michy Batshuayi amid the ongoing interest from Spanish club Valencia.
Batshuayi rarely earned a string of games under the tutelage of former boss Antonio Conte and recent reports suggested that he may be deemed surplus to requirements under Sarri.
However, according to the Evening Standard, Sarri is prepared to offer an opportunity to the Belgium international, who impressed during a short-term loan spell with Borussia Dortmund last term.
Meanwhile, Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud have been tipped for probable exits from Stamford Bridge but the pair may yet stay put, if the Blues fail to pursue a new marksman.
Chelsea are scheduled to take on Manchester City in the Community Shield this weekend but prior to that, they have a friendly against Arsenal at the Aviva Stadium tonight.
The FA Cup holders have made just one key signing in the form of Jorginho this summer whilst Rob Green has arrived on a free transfer to add more depth in the goalkeeping department.
