New Everton defender wants Mina at Goodison Park
New Everton defender wants Mina at Goodison Park
Everton's new signing Lucas Digne has told his former Barcelona team-mate Yerry Mina to join him at Goodison Park.
Digne is Everton's second signing of the summer after they completed the £50m transfer of Richarlison from Watford.
Mina has been linked with a move to Marco Silva's side, but has reportedly agreed personal terms with Manchester United.
"I hope to see him here but I don't know," said Digne, Sky Sports reports. "He'll choose the best for his career and we will see. I said to him to come. He's a good player and a good guy."
Everton need a central defender, especially now that Ashley Williams has been loaned out to Championship side Stoke City for a season.
Mina will more likely want an Old Trafford move due to the fact that he will be playing in the UEFA Champions League and competing for the Premier League title.
With approximately five days remaining for the transfer window in England to shut, United only have to agree the player's transfer fee with Barcelona before the deal can be completed.
