Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba has told the club that he wants to leave Old Trafford for the Nou Camp amid interest from Barcelona.

According to the Daily Mail, he has told team-mates and texted Ed Woodward about his intention despite the club denying it.

Barcelona reportedly offered a player-plus-cash bid involving £45m, Yerry Mina, and Andre Gomes - but United rejected it.

According to reports, Pogba has also agreed a five-year deal worth £100m with the La Liga champions as he seeks a move away from Jose Mourinho's side.

His agent was asked to comment about the situation on Tuesday and he said: ‘I will never make declarations about Paul. You have to speak to Manchester United.’

With just over a day left for the transfer window to close in England, it is looking unlikely that United will sell.

However, they have been linked with a £138million move for Serbia and Lazio midfielder Sergej Milinkovic-Savic, but there are no indications that he is targeted as a replacement for Pogba.
