Chelsea sign Spanish goalkeeper on a club-record deal
Chelsea have landing their third signing of the summer transfer window with goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga joining them from Spanish side Athletic Bilbao.
The Spaniard had triggered the £71m buy-out clause on his Bilbao contract earlier in the day and the Blues have now formally unveiled him via their official website.
Arrizabalaga's arrival has coincided with the departure of Thibaut Courtois to Real Madrid, though the Blues have managed to make the most of the deal by acquiring Mateo Kovacic on a season-long loan.
Chelsea have now made four signings in the current transfer window with Jorginho and Rob Green previously joining the club, shortly after Maurizio Sarri was announced as the new manager.
The FA Cup holders begin their league campaign with an away trip at Huddersfield Town this weekend. Following that, they have the prospect of a London derby with Unai Emery's Arsenal scheduled to make the trip to Stamford Bridge.
