Chelsea attacker joins La Liga side
Chelsea have confirmed that striker Michy Batshuayi has joined Valencia on a season-long loan.
After holding talks with Maurizio Sarri, it was decided that a loan move will be the best thing for the Belgian international at the moment.
The Sun reports the club's statement as follows: "Chelsea Football Club has today agreed terms with Valencia for Michy Batshuayi to join the Spanish side on a season-long loan."
The Belgian was sent on loan from Chelsea to German side Borussia Dortmund in January 2018 till the end of the season. He played 10 games and scored seven goals.
He was also a part of the Belgian World Cup squad that finished 3rd, playing three games and scoring once.
With the former Standard Liège player out of the squad for this season, Chelsea will have to focus on Alvaro Morata and Olivier Giroud to give them the goals.
Morata scored 11 times in 31 league games for Chelsea last season while Giroud scored 3 after moving from Arsenal in January 2018.
