Paul Scholes slams Paul Pogba after Brighton display
Manchester United legend-turned-pundit Paul Scholes has slammed Paul Pogba for the lack of leadership qualities following the Red Devils' surprise defeat at Brighton & Hove Albion.
The France international had come into the season with plenty of positive headlines after contributing towards his nation winning the summer World Cup.
However, his performance against the Seagulls was from impressive and Scholes has now criticised him for being 'so inconsistent' when it comes to playing for United.
"There's lack of leaders in the team, that's why we thought Paul Pogba might be the ideal candidate to be that leader but he wasn't there tonight. He had another really poor game. He's so inconsistent," he told Optus Sport.
Scholes comments came shortly after Pogba admitted that his performance was not up to scratch and Brighton had 'more hunger' than United during the league meeting.
United will seek to comeback from their 3-2 defeat next Monday but their challenge does not get any easier with an in-form Tottenham side visiting them at Old Trafford.
