Arsenal receive major fitness boost for Cardiff City game
Arsenal have received a timely boost for the Cardiff City with midfielder Mesut Ozil said to have completely recovered from an illness which kept him out of the West Ham United game.
The 29-year-old was not included in the matchday squad during the Gunners' 3-1 triumph over West Ham United and there had been suggestions that he was dropped after a rift with manager Unai Emery.
However, the Gunners boss clarified that the attacker was not involved only because of a heavy cold and he appears to have now completely recovered after participating in first-team training.
Aside from Ozil, there has not been any positive news on the injury front with Sead Kolasinac, Ainsley Maitland-Niles, Carl Jenkinson and Laurent Koscielny all expected to miss the trip to the south of Wales.
Arsenal made a poor start to the season with successive defeats in the Premier League but they have since recovered with a hard-fought 3-1 win over West Ham United at the Emirates Stadium.
