Zinedine Zidane admits plan to return to management
France and Real Madrid legend Zinedine Zidane has told reporters that he has plans to return to management soon. Zidane has been linked with a shock move to Manchester United as their next manager; despite the role not even yet being available.
Jose Mourinho is currently under pressure at Man Utd and is, for some bookmakers, in pole position to be the first coach to be fired in the 2018-19 season in the Premier League.
Zidane has emerged as a frontrunner to take the United role in the event of Mourinho's departure.
The Frenchman himself admitted that he is seeking a rapid return to management, telling reporters: "Certainly I’ll be coaching again soon because it’s what I like doing and what I’ve done all my life."
The 46-year-old manager helped Real Madrid to consecutive Champions League titles at the Spanish side and is seen by many as a long-term successor to take over Didier Deschamps at the helm of the French national team side.
Zidane is currently out of work having been let go by Real Madrid at the end of last campaign.
