Chelsea manager backs Eden Hazard to hit 40 goals
Chelsea manager Maurizio Sarri has backed Eden Hazard to hit the 40-goal mark during the ongoing campaign whilst winning the Premier League Golden Boot in the process.
Hazard has never reached the 20-goal mark in a single season with the Blues but Sarri feels the Belgian can double that tally after his strong start to the current campaign.
Speaking after Hazard's hat-trick versus Cardiff City, Sarri said that Hazard is capable of winning the Golden Boot as well as contributing 40 goals to the team's cause this term.
"I think so," he is quoted as saying by Sky Sports News. "We have spoken and I told him he can score 40 goals. He has to improve some things, but he can do it. If you saw the game today, you have to say [he believed me]."
Hazard was hugely appreciated for his efforts with Belgium in their World Cup semi-final run and he has since been in top form for the Blues this season, contributing five goals and two assists from just five matches.
