Mourinho: United deserve Wolves punishment
Manchester United manager Jose Mourinho has said that his side deserved to get just only a point from their Premier League encounter against Wolverhampton Wanderers at Old Trafford on Saturday.
Fred scored his first goal for United to give Jose Mourinho's side the lead in the 18th minute before Joao Moutinho equalised early in the second half to put the final score at 1-1.
Speaking to BBC Sport, he said: "I think the result is fair. They deserved their point and we deserve the punishment of only getting one point. They started better were more aggressive, had more intent and I don't know why but they were more motivated."
The Portuguese also said that his side's performance lacked creativity, consistency and dynamism.
Prior to this game, United had won three consecutive games, but have had their momentum pegged back by a very competitive Wolves side.
United has a good hold of the game to create more scoring chances, but were unable to, leading to their inability to get a fourth consecutive win.
