Predicted Man United XI vs Valencia

Manchester United will be aiming for their first victory in four matches when they entertain Valencia in the second group stage game of this season's Champions League.

The Red Devils are without four players for the midweek European game with Ashley Young, Jesse Lingard and Ander Herrera having joined Marcos Rojo in the treatment room.

Formation: 4-3-3

Predicted Lineup:

David de Gea has struggled to keep clean sheets during the current campaign and this has largely resulted from the poor defensive display. He should once more start between the sticks eyeing just his third clean sheet of the season.

In defence, Antonio Valencia's inclusion remains under question after he was dropped at West Ham and this could offer another start for Diogo Dalot at right-back with Young carrying a knock.

Likewise, Eric Bailly could earn his maiden start since the Brighton defeat at the heart of the defence and he should certainly be accompanied with Chris Smalling - with Luke Shaw occupying the left-back position.

Onto the midfield, Fred should warrant a starting role after featuring from the bench in recent games and we are fancying him to partner Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba, though the latter is not in speaking terms with the manager.

Further forward, Anthony Martial should keep his position as he was one of the better performers in the 3-1 Hammers defeat and we are backing him to start in his preferred left-wing role.

Aside from him, we are anticipating Marcus Rashford to feature on the right side of the attack with Romelu Lukaku leading the line as usual being the undisputed centre-forward choice.
