Gary Neville rules out Arsenal and Chelsea from title race
Manchester United legend-turned-pundit Gary Neville does not believe the likes of Arsenal and Chelsea will challenge Manchester City and Liverpool in the title pursuit.
Arsenal and Chelsea have made glowing starts to the campaign under the guidance of Unai Emery and Maurizio Sarri respectively but Neville does not feel they will sustain their form in the long-run.
"I don’t think Arsenal… I don’t think they’ll be challenging for the title. (Chelsea) have started the season well. But after eight games I still think it’s very early to think about Chelsea challenging (Man City or Liverpool)." he told Sky Sports.
Arsenal started the season in the worst possible fashion as they suffered back-to-back losses but they have since managed to steady their campaign with nine straight wins including six in the top-flight.
Chelsea, on the other hand, have remained unbeaten since the Community Shield game against Manchester City and their run of six wins and two draws sees them behind the league leaders on only goal difference.
