Edin Dzeko refuses to rule out Premier League return
AS Roma striker Edin Dzeko has refused to rule out the possibility of returning to the Premier League in the future. The Bosnian footballer was heavily tipped to join Chelsea last winter before the Blues failed to negotiate a fee for his proposed switch.
Speaking to Sky Sports News, Dzeko admitted that he would fancy a return to the English top-flight after having enjoyed an excellent four-and-a-half spell with Manchester City.
However, the marksman has reiterated that he is presently content with the Giallorossi and may not push for a potential exit in the forthcoming transfer window.
"You never know. I had four-and-a-half great years there, and had fun every minute of every game. I love the Premier League and England, so we'll see. At the moment I'm happy in Rome," he said.
Dzeko was tipped to join the Blues alongside teammate Emerson in January 2018 but they could only pursue the latter from Rome. Chelsea eventually pursued Olivier Giroud from Arsenal to fulfil their striker void.
