Liverpool manager updates on winter transfer plans
Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has indicated that the club may not strengthen the squad further when the transfer reopens in a couple of months' time.
The Reds have remained unbeaten since the start of the Premier League campaign and the run currently seems them leading the standings, having played a game more than Manchester City and Chelsea.
In a report covered by The Mirror, Klopp was asked about the club's plans for the winter transfer window but the German appeared to dismiss the possibility of new signings unless a major injury crisis arises.
"At the moment it doesn't look like we will be too busy but it all depends on injuries and things like that. In the moment we have each position twice, three times and sometimes four times covered," he said.
Liverpool are currently without three midfielders in the form of Jordan Henderson, Naby Keita and Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain through injuries but the former two are likely to return following the international break to ease the concerns.
