Liverpool leading Barcelona in race to sign Paris Saint-Germain star
Liverpool have reportedly jumped ahead of Barcelona in the race to pursue the services of Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain.
The France international has just eight months left on his remaining deal with Les Parisiens and so far, he has yet to pen a suitable extension with the Ligue 1 champions.
Amidst this, he has been regularly linked with a move to Barcelona but Mundo Deportivo claims that the Reds are now leading the pursuit of the 23-year-old.
It is added that the Merseyside giants could make an approach as early as the winter transfer window with Fabinho a potential option heading the other way despite only arriving during the summer.
Fabinho has struggled to garner regular gametime with the Reds since his summer move from Monaco and he has recently come into contention only because of injuries to both Jordan Henderson and Naby Keita.
Rabiot is likely to come against Liverpool for the second time this season when the Reds make the trip to Parc des Princes for a Champions League clash this month.
