Liverpool could offload two strikers to make way for Ousmane Dembele

Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp could be launching an audacious January bid for Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembele if he can offload Dominic Solanke and Divock Origi, according to the Sunday Express.

The rumours have accelerated following the La Liga leaders’ boss Ernesto Valverde’s comments about the French World Cup winner.

He said: “I do not lose patience with him. Each one can interpret it as he wants.  This is a team. Sometimes some are summoned and sometimes others.

Adding: “I’m looking for the best. Ousmane came from being a starter and now he’s out.”

Dembele signed for the Catalan club for £100m 18 months ago and has unfortunately struggled with injuries and form during his time at the Camp Nou.

However, at only 21, the ex-Borussia Dortmund player’s price tag will still be very high so Klopp would be forced to offload both Solanke and Origi in order to make room for the exciting forward.

With the striking prowess the Reds have at their disposal it’s been difficult for the young English and Belgian strikers to find regular match action at Anfield, with the former expected to depart on loan and the latter in a permanent move.

This would of course clear the way for a potential big-money signing which could be the move of the January transfer window.
