London duo leading the race to sign Liverpool striker
London duo Crystal Palace and West Ham United are reportedly leading the hunt to sign Dominic Solanke on a temporary basis from Liverpool.
Solanke joined the Reds on a free transfer from Chelsea last year and he went on to make 21 appearances under Jurgen Klopp across all competitions last term.
However, with the current season, he has dropped down the pecking order and he has yet to make an appearance for the Reds in any competition to date.
According to The Sun, Klopp is prepared to sanction a loan move for Solanke in the New Year and he would prefer him to stay put in the English top-flight.
Palace are said to be eyeing a goalscoring frontman with Jordan Ayew yet to make a meaningful impact. Meanwhile, West Ham are considering a back-up striker behind Marko Arnautovic, who has witnessed occasional injury concerns.
Apart from Solanke, Divock Origi may also pursue a fresh challenge during the winter period, though Liverpool are understood to fancy the permanent sale of the Belgian.
