Chelsea make January decision on Andreas Christensen

Chelsea are expected to block the winter departure of Andreas Christensen despite his reduced gametime during the course of the ongoing campaign.
The Dane made his breakthrough during the previous season where he racked 40 appearances across all competitions including 27 in the top-flight.
However, he has struggled for playing time this term and his failure to make a single league appearance has triggered speculation of him leaving the Blues.
According to Evening Standard, the Blues are said to have no plans of parting ways with the centre-back despite him recently expressing his unhappiness over the situation.
Christensen is currently behind Antonio Rudiger, David Luiz and Gary Cahill in the pecking order for the central defensive positions and he has started exclusively in the League Cup and Europa League games this term.
Chelsea return to Premier League action this weekend with a crunch London derby against Tottenham Hotspur on the road. They are presently third in the league standings with a four-point gap to leaders Manchester City.
