Chelsea are reportedly willing to permit the departure of club-captain Gary Cahill when the transfer window reopens in less than two months' time.

The former England international has yet to start a Premier League game for the Blues this term with Antonio Rudiger and David Luiz being the preferred picks for manager Maurizio Sarri at the heart of the defence.

Owing to this, there have been a number of reports linking Cahill with a mid-season departure and Goal.com has now claimed that the Blues would have no objection towards the defender's exit.

However, they are not said to have the same stance with regards to Andreas Christensen, who has endured a similar fate to that of Cahill since the season started.

Christensen's father and agent had recently cited that a winter transfer could be a possibility but the Blues are understood to have no ambition of offloading him on any kind of deal at the turn of the year.
