Arsenal continue search for Nacho Monreal replacement
Arsenal are reportedly continuing their search for a new left-back as they fear the prospect of losing Nacho Monreal at the end of the current campaign.
The Spain international presently has just eight months left on his existing deal with the Gunners and this has grown fears that he could leave on a Bosman next summer.
According to The Mirror, Gunners boss Unai Emery is understood to be keen to tie the 32-year-old to a fresh deal but the search for a replacement is on amid concerns that he could snub an extension.
Sead Kolasinac has regularly featured on the left side of the defence in recent weeks due to Monreal's hamstring injury but the Bosman has not convinced Emery sufficiently that he is the right man for the role.
Moreover, there has been limited depth behind with the likes of Granit Xhaka and Stephan Lichtsteiner being pushed to slot into the position and Emery appears keen on plugging that concern at the turn of the year.
Liverpool's Alberto Moreno has been earmarked as the prime target in recent weeks with the Spaniard having previously worked under Emery during their time together at Sevilla.
