Arsenal offered chance to sign Barcelona midfielder
Arsenal have reportedly been offered the opportunity to acquire the services of out-of-favour midfielder Denis Suarez from Barcelona in the New Year.
The Spain international has endured a tough 2018/2019 campaign with the Blaugrana with manager Ernesto Valverde offering him just eight minutes of La Liga action.
According to The Independent, the Catalan giants are prepared to sanction the midfielder's sale when the transfer window reopens and the Gunners are one of the clubs alerted regarding the player's availability.
It is added that the former Villareal man could be available for a cheaper sum of around £14m, although the Blaugrana are likely to demand a percentage of a future sell-on fee.
At present, the Gunners are not in any urgent need to reinforce the midfield but Suarez's availability could capture the attention of manager Unai Emery, with the pair having previously worked together at Sevilla.
Suarez's current deal with Barcelona is scheduled to expire at the end of next season and the club seem desperate to get him out of their books at the earliest.
