Liverpool enter the hunt for Rabiot

Liverpool have reportedly re-entered the race to sign French midfielder Adrien Rabiot from Paris Saint-Germain at the end of the season.

The France international has already declined a contract extension with Les Parisiens beyond the summer and he is expected to leave on a free transfer in four months' time.

Amidst this, the likes of Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City have also been credited with an interest in the midfielder, but Paris United claims that the Reds have made an approach of their own.

It is added that talks are ongoing with the three Premier League sides, though the Reds could hold a slender advantage with Rabiot keen to work under the tutelage of Jurgen Klopp.

Still, the Merseyside giants need to find an agreement in terms of the contract with Rabiot said to demand hefty wages of around £8.6m after tax in addition to a signing-on fee of more than £10m.

Rabiot has not featured for the French champions since the turn of the year which has resulted from the contract standoff. He is currently training with the reserve squad.
