Arsenal to make move for Scottish international left-back?
Arsenal have made Kieran Tierney their primary transfer target for the summer transfer window, with the Celtic and Scotland international left-back seen as a long-term replacement for Nacho Monreal. Tierney, 21, has three years remaining on his contract at Parkhead and is very highly rated in his homeland.
Arsenal manager Unai Emery, who will be working on a limited budget this summer, is seeking a left-back and the Celtic star is seen a potential in bound transfer. Having played over 100 games for the Hoops, Tierney is already experienced at the highest level, since emerging on to the scene of the club's first-team squad in 2014.
Tierney has been an almost ever present in recent years for Celtic and it is understand that former coach at Celtic, Brendan Rodgers, is also considering a move for Tierney at his new club Leicester City. At international level, Tierney is often preferred to one of the world's best full-backs, Andrew Robertson of Liverpool, due to his versatility and ability to play in a more defensive role than Robertson.
Tierney can also operate at the right-back position.
