Predicted Manchester United lineup (4-3-3) to face Everton, Lukaku and Sanchez start
Manchester United are scheduled to face Everton at Goodison Park in Sunday's early league kick-off.
The Red Devils are presently two points behind fourth-placed Arsenal in the standings and they can't afford any slip-ups against the Toffees, given they have tougher assignments against Manchester City and Chelsea thereafter.
Formation: 4-3-3
Predicted Lineup:
David de Gea produced a horrendous performance against Barcelona on the road in midweek where he was guilty for conceding two cheap goals. However, the Spaniard will be determined to make amends and should start in goal against the Toffees.
In the defence, Ashley Young is likely to return to the fray at right-back after his domestic suspension and he could be partnered by Marcos Rojo in the opposite end with Luke Shaw serving the final game of a two-game ban. At the heart of the backline, Ole should resort to the familiar partnership of Chris Smalling and Victor Lindelof after playing the latter in an experimental right-back role at the Camp Nou.
In the midfield, Paul Pogba and Fred are likely to keep their positions from the recent defeat at Barca but Scott McTominay could be replaced by Nemanja Matic. Ander Herrera has returned to training ahead of this game, but Ole may not take the risk with the Spaniard amid his recent muscular problems.
In the frontline, the likes of Anthony Martial and Jesse Lingard could drop to the bench for the fixture after being non-existent with their performances in midweek. Romelu Lukaku should return to the lineup to lead the line while Alexis Sanchez and Marcus Rashford could be tasked with the wider roles. Sanchez made his injury comeback with a lively cameo at Barca, and he is likely to be given an opportunity amid the goalscoring woes of others.
