Alvaro Morata to remain at Atletico Madrid?
Chelsea loanee Alvaro Morata could reportedly remain with Atletico Madrid next season with the Spanish club expected to extend his temporary contract.
The Spaniard struggled under Maurizio Sarri during the opening half of the season and he was therefore loaned out to Diego Simeone's side at the turn of the year.
According to Goal.com, Atleti have the option to prolong his stay for another season on loan and they are likely to pay the £13.8m fee to finalise the agreement.
Morata managed just 24 goals during his time at the Bridge and a return to the club appears unlikely in the future so long as Sarri remains at the helm of things.
Meanwhile, the Spaniard has been a good hit at Atletico with six goals and one assist since his winter switch, and he seems to have cemented a regular role in the starting XI ahead of compatriot Diego Costa.
