BBC Sport pundit delivers worrying injury update on N'Golo Kante
BBC Sport pundit David Ornstein has said that N'Golo Kante could be a serious doubt for Chelsea during Wednesday's Europa League final against Arsenal.
The France international picked up a fresh knee injury at the weekend and Maurizio Sarri recently revealed that the midfielder could be 50/50 to make the Europa League final.
However, Ornstein believes that is not the case with the Frenchman holding a long discussion with the club's doctor after a short training session away from his teammates.
"Chelsea midfielder N’Golo Kanté in deep discussion with #CFC doctor just before leaving training halfway through session. Sarri rated him 50-50 with knee problem, but appears worse & his participation v Arsenal looks in serious doubt," he tweeted.
The Blues have recently been hampered with key injuries to Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Antonio Rudiger and Callum Hudson-Odoi and Kante's absence for the final could be a potential blow to their silverware prospects.
The west London side are aiming to secure their maiden European trophy since 2013, and they will be up against an Arsenal side, which has improved the head-to-head record against them of late.
