Manchester United have reportedly offered a lucrative contract package to midfielder Adrien Rabiot in order to lure him to Old Trafford this summer.

The Frenchman is expected to be a free agent when his contract with Paris Saint-Germain expires next month and reports have indicated that he could be headed to the Premier League.

Both Arsenal and United have been linked with his services but Mundo Deportivo claims that the latter are leading the race after making a lucrative contract offer through the player's agent.

Rabiot, who has won five Ligue 1 titles with Les Parisiens, is said to have been offered a package of around £175,000-a-week on top of a significant signing-on fee, given he would be available on a Bosman.

The Frenchman did not feature for Les Parisiens during the backend of the campaign after a fall-out with the hierarchy due to his reluctance to sign a fresh deal.

Rabiot's potential arrival could cover up the void left by Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera, who has been heavily tipped to head to Parc des Princes this summer.
