Tottenham Hotspur to swoop for Leicester City star?
Tottenham Hotspur manager Mauricio Pochettino has reportedly set his sights on pursuing the services of James Maddison from Leicester City.
The north London side have not spent on a single signing in the past two transfer windows but they are expected to go on a spending spree this summer on the back of a strong European showing.
According to The Mirror, the Capital outfit are set to receive a £72m windfall from their run to the Champions League final where they are scheduled to face Liverpool this weekend.
The same publication claims that Maddison has been identified as the leading transfer target for Spurs with Pochettino impressed with the midfielder's adaptability during his debut Premier League season last term.
Maddison was pursued by the Foxes for around £22.5m last summer but Spurs can expect to pay a much significant price if they are to convince the Foxes into a sale. The 22-year-old notched seven goals and seven assists in the recent league season.
