Bayern Munich to steal Belgian winger from the hands of Arsenal?
Bayern Munich have reportedly made a late attempt to beat Arsenal in the race to sign Yannick Ferreira Carrasco from Dalian Yifang.
The Belgian has openly revealed his ambition to return to Europe this summer and the Gunners have been touted as the favourites to sign him in recent weeks.
However, according to Bild, the north London giants could now face competition for the winger with Bayern deciding to lodge an approach of their own for the former Atletico man.
The Bavarian giants are keen on strengthening the wider attacking department with the departures of Franck Ribery and Arjen Robben this summer and Carrasco has emerged as an option due to his low transfer fee.
Dalian are said to want fees in the region of £25m for the Belgium international while the winger is open to accepting a significant paycut in order to return to his home continent.
Should Bayern be successful, it would surely turn as a huge transfer blow for the Gunners, whose manager Unai Emery has been desperate to pursue Carrasco since the turn of the year.
