Arsenal and Man Utd chase Tiemoue Bakayoko
Both Arsenal and Man Utd are hoping to sign Chelsea midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko this summer, according to reports from France. The 24-year-old arrived at the Blues in a £40 million deal in 2017 from Monaco, but failed to impress at the club and spent last season on loan at AC Milan.
Bakayoko failed to make an impression at Chelsea when he joined the club from Monaco and then manager Antonio Conte let the player leave on a loan last summer. However, it is understood that Bakayoko wants to return to the Premier League and both Manchester United and Arsenal are mentioned as possible next locations for the player.
It is understood that Arsenal are seeking a possible replacement for Granit Xhaka, whilst Man Utd are facing the prospect of having to sell Paul Pogba to Italian club Juventus; thus Bakayoko would be a suitable candidate to come to either club.
It is understood that Chelsea are hoping to redeem around £25 million for the sale of Bakayoko. The player has three years remaining on his Chelsea deal.
