Arsenal close to signing Brazilian winger?
Arsenal are reportedly in negotiations with Gremio to secure the services of Brazilian winger Everton Soares.
The Gunners have been on the hunt for a new wide player this summer and they have already failed with a bid of around £40m for Crystal Palace's Wilfried Zaha.
According to ESPN, the north London giants are understood to have shifted their attention towards signing Soares, who was recently part of the Copa America-winning Brazilian side.
The same publication reveals that the forward would be available for around £36m and this is within the affordable range for the club compared to the Eagles' hefty £80m valuation for Zaha.
Arsenal are working on a limited £45m budget for the ongoing transfer window and so far, they have pursued just one signing in teenage forward Gabriel Martinelli from Ituano.
Any increase in the transfer kitty would be dependent on the sale of existing players and it is reported that the club are likely to negotiate staggered payments for any new arrivals in the next three weeks.
