Sanchez set for Inter loan

Manchester United are prepared to part ways with Alexis Sanchez on a temporary basis after agreeing on a season-long loan deal for the player's services with Inter Milan.

The Chilean has simply failed to showcase his talents during his 19-month spell at Old Trafford and he has contributed just five goals from 45 appearances in all competitions.

As a result, he has been widely touted to pursue a fresh challenge away from the club and BBC Sport confirms that an agreement has been reached for Sanchez's temporary move to the San Siro.

Meanwhile, reports elsewhere suggest that United stand to lose around £6m as they would be paying part of the wages while the Nerazzurri don't have the obligatory buy clause included in the deal.

There were recently suggestions that Sanchez's move away from Old Trafford could be blocked following the thigh injury suffered by Anthony Martial, but that does not appear the case any longer.
