Spurs are targeting Andre Onana to replace Hugo Lloris
Tottenham Hotspur are targeting Ajax goalkeeper, Andre Onana to replace Hugo Lloris. However, before bringing in Onana, Spurs have to get Lloris out of the club because Onana does not want to be a backup goalkeeper.
The Cameroonian drew Spurs’ attention when the two teams met in the Champions League last season.
The 23-year-old Onana is still under contract with the Dutch club, but they are willing to let him go if a club pays £35 million for him. Spurs understand that Lloris is aging and his time with Spurs is probably over. It is also reported that the 32-year-old goalkeeper is ready if Spurs are to get rid of him.
Spurs have to play without Lloris until 2020 due to his elbow injury in a match against Brighton on 5th October 2019. Paulo Gazzaniga has stepped up and filled his shoes for the time being. Spurs are actually also considering whether the Argentine stopper can permanently replace Lloris as their main goalkeeper.
