Serie A giants plan bid for Chelsea striker
Chelsea striker Olivier Giroud has reportedly emerged as a January target for Inter Milan as they seek to enhance their prospects of challenging for the league title.
The Frenchman has clearly fallen down the pecking order at the Bridge and he is presently regarded as the third-choice marksman behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi.
According to Gazzetta dello Sport, the Nerazzurri are keeping a close eye on the player's developments and they could prise him away for a nominal fee when the transfer window reopens.
The Nerazzurri already have Romelu Lukaku, Lautaro Martinez and Alexis Sanchez in the ranks, but Antonio Conte is still eyeing more competition, particularly with him preferring to play with two strikers.
Giroud has made just two starts in all competitions this season and it remains to be seen whether he is tempted to join the Nerazzurri, where he may have to contend with gametime off the bench.
The likes of Crystal Palace and West Ham United have also been credited with an interest and he could yet be persuaded to remain in the English capital with one of those sides.
