Lucas Torreira wants to leave Arsenal next year
Uruguayan midfielder Lucas Torreira has indicated that he would like to pursue a fresh challenge away from Arsenal in the upcoming transfer windows.
The 23-year-old was heavily linked with a move to the Serie A with AC Milan over the summer after suggestions that he had failed to settle in the English capital.
However, a deal never materialised after the north London giants made it clear that there won't entertain any bids for the former Sampdoria and Pescara man.
According to Calciomercato, Torreira is keen on a return to the Italian top-flight and he has urged the Gunners' hierarchy to consider any future offers for his signature.
Furthermore, AC Milan are touted as the favourites to land his services and reports claim that they could make a proposal as early as the January transfer window.
The Rossoneri are also said to hold an interest in Granit Xhaka but they won't make a formal offer for the Gunners star, if they are able to lure Torreira from the Emirates Stadium.
