Manchester United to make move for £34m-rated defender
Manchester United are reportedly planning a winter raid for Nikola Milenkovic from Fiorentina with manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer aiming to strengthen the defence further.
The Norwegian has regularly paired Victor Lindelof with Harry Maguire at the heart of the backline this term but the former has been susceptible to making mistakes which has cost the team in a few games.
According to La Republicca, the Red Devils could revive their interest in signing Milenkovic, who has been on their radar since Jose Mourinho's time at Old Trafford.
The Mancunian giants were previously put off by La Viola's £60m price tag for the centre-back but it appears that the Serie A outfit could now accept a reduced fee in the region of £34m.
United have conceded just 12 goals from as many games in the current league campaign but they have still struggled to secure regular points due to their average return in the attacking department.
Solskjaer's side are already nine points behind the top four of the Premier League and they will need to build up a winning run after the international break in order to close the gap on the Champions League places.
