Inter Milan favourites to sign Chelsea forward in January
Inter Milan are reportedly the favourites to pursue the services of Olivier Giroud from Chelsea when the transfer window reopens at the turn of the year.
The France international has been reduced to just five appearances in the Premier League this term and one of those came during the recent derby against West Ham United where Tammy Abraham was injured.
According to Tuttosport, the Frenchman has grown increasingly frustrated with his present situation at the Blues and he is willing to listen to offers from interested clubs in the New Year.
The same outlet claims that the Nerazzurri are leading the hunt to sign the former Arsenal man and they could prise him away on a cut-price deal in January with his contract expiring in less than eight months' time.
Giroud played through 71 minutes of the recent 1-0 league defeat to West Ham United and he struggled to make any meaningful impact due to his limited action through the season.
In the absence of Abraham, Giroud and Michy Batshuayi are the options at hand for Frank Lampard upfront and the latter could start the midweek game against Aston Villa at Stamford Bridge.
