Serie A giants Inter Milan and Juventus are reportedly both plotting moves for Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso ahead of the winter transfer window.

The 28-year-old has struggled for regular starts for the Blues this term and he is currently regarded as the third-choice left-back behind Cesar Azpilicueta and Emerson.

According to Calciomercato, Blues boss Frank Lampard will move for a new left-sided defender in the New Year and that could pave the way for Alonso to head for the exit door.

The same outlet claims that Inter and Juventus are both interested in landing the signature of the Spain international, who is currently valued at around £25m by the Blues.

Alonso only penned a fresh long-term deal with the Blues last year but he has come for several criticism from the fans especially with the defensive aspect of his game.

Apart from Alonso, Olivier Giroud and Pedro are the other big names in the first-team squad, who could be offloaded when the transfer window reopens next month.
