Chelsea have chance to sign Real Madrid star for £44m
Chelsea have been handed with the chance to land the signature of Isco from Real Madrid when the transfer window reopens in a week's time.
The Blues are on the hunt for attacking reinforcements at the turn of the year with manager Frank Lampard seeking to find at least a replacement for the departed Eden Hazard.
According to The Mirror, Los Blancos are looking into the sale of Isco, who has struggled for regular gametime under Zinedine Zidane and the Blues are one of the clubs said to hold an interest in his services.
The Spain international has made 13 appearances for the Bernabeu giants in all competitions this term but out of those, only seven of them have been from the starting lineup.
The Blues have plenty of cash in hand after the £89m gained from the sale of Hazard to Los Blancos over the summer and it remains to be seen whether they are willing to part with 50 percent of that sum on Isco.
Aside from Chelsea, Manchester City are also deemed to be in the running to sign the former Malaga man. Cityzens boss Pep Guardiola remains a huge admirer of his compatriot from his managerial days at Barcelona.
