Serie A giants favourites to agree deal for Chelsea forward

Serie A giants Inter Milan are reportedly the favourites to land the signature of Olivier Giroud, who has fallen out-of-favour under Chelsea boss Frank Lampard.

The Frenchman has hardly featured for the Blues in the past few months and he is currently behind Tammy Abraham and Michy Batshuayi in the pecking order for the striker's role.

The likes of Aston Villa, Newcastle United and Crystal Palace have all been fancied to secure the services of Giroud for a bargain price but Tuttosport claims that the Nerazzurri are leading the hunt.

It is added that Giroud favours a reunion with Antonio Conte in the Serie A rather than staying put in the Premier League but the Frenchman's move will be entirely dependent on the Blues.

Blues boss Frank Lampard has stated that there are a few conditions that need to be met for the possible departure of Giroud. It has been indicated by various sources that Lampard wants a new striker before permitting Giroud's exit.
