Manchester United interested in signing £100m-rated centre-back
Manchester United are reportedly interested in landing the services of Kalidou Koulibaly whose relationship with the Napoli's hierarchy has soured over the past few weeks.
The Red Devils strengthened their backline with the signings of Harry Maguire and Aaron Wan-Bissaka last summer but both of them have made a meaningful impact for the club.
Still, there has been the tendency to concede goals especially against the lower table sides and it appears that the club are keen on recruiting another top-class defender.
According to The Star, the Red Devils are likely to focus on bolstering the heart of the backline and they have their set their sights on Koulibaly, who has been constantly linked with a Premier League move since 2016.
It is added that Koulibaly presently has a mixed relationship with Napoli owner Aurelio de Laurentiis after the club's average first half to the Serie A season and the Italian side could sell him at the right price.
United previously failed with a £95m bid for Koulibaly when Jose Mourinho was in charge of the club in 2018 and reports claim that Napoli are unlikely for anything less than £100m for the former Genk man.
