Manchester United looking into deal for Atletico Madrid star?
Manchester United have reportedly earmarked Saul Niguez as one of their possible transfer targets for the month as they seek to strengthen their options in the centre of the park.
The Red Devils have been hampered in the midfield with the injury setbacks for Scott McTominay and Paul Pogba and they are now likely to pursue at least one central midfielder.
Bruno Fernandes and Donny van de Beek have both been linked with the club of late but Marca reports that the club are also considering a possible approach for Saul.
Saul has more than seven years remaining on his existing deal with the Madrid giants but he still has a £130m release clause which could be triggered by any of his suitors.
United are likely to pay such a sum at the midway stage of the campaign but they are still said to be keeping an eye on possible solutions for the midfield, where Fred, Nemanja Matic and Andreas Pereira are the only senior options at the manager's disposal.
