Kepa Arrizabalaga given deadline to save his Chelsea career
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard is reportedly prepared to offer goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga with the remainder of the season to prove that he is the right man for the number one role.
The Spain international has been inconsistent with his displays between the sticks this season and he has been criticised for his inability to intercept goals in the recent games against Newcastle United and Arsenal.
Lampard has personally admitted that the Spaniard must be quicker with his decision-making and The Telegraph reports that Arrizabalaga has the remainder of the season to improve on his performances.
Arrizabalaga is unlikely to be replaced in goal for the Premier League duties in the coming weeks but Lampard may consider resting the Spaniard for the weekend's FA Cup fourth round tie at Hull City.
The Blues are favourites to progress to the next round of the Cup competition and Lampard will be hoping for a dominant display at the Championship outfit on Saturday.
