Frank Lampard speaks on Willy Caballero's performance
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has said that he was pleased with the performance of Willy Caballero in goal despite the Argentine conceding a couple of times.
The veteran shot-stopper replaced Kepa Arrizabalaga between the sticks and he produced a good performance with one crucial save in a goalless first half at the King Power Stadium.
However, he was unable to prevent the Foxes' goals in the second half in the 2-2 draw but Lampard has defended his keeper by citing that he can't be blamed for any of those strikes.
"I thought his performance was pretty good, he made some good saves, was comfortable with his feet. I was right behind the Harvey Barnes goal and it was typical with the deflection. He wasn’t at fault for the second goal," he told.
Chelsea remain in the fourth spot at the moment but they are now only five points ahead of Sheffield United, who are the nearest club to them in the race for the final Champions League position.
The Blues will now go into the mid-season break and they will not be in action for the next two weekends. They are scheduled to host Manchester United at home on February 17.
