Barcelona ace Luis Suarez eyeing early return from injury
Barcelona star Luis Suarez could return to action sooner than expected as he is making good progress in his rehab, according to Daily Mail.
The Uruguayan underwent knee surgery last month and was speculated to miss the rest of the season.
The report adds that Barca have been handed a major boost as Suarez could make his comeback in May and take part in the UCL semi-finals and final few games of the La Liga.
Blaugrana failed to sign a short-term replacement to the Uruguayan in the January transfer window, which in turn had a major impact in their recent results.
Furthermore, Ousmane Dembele’s season-ending injury stirred the turd for the Catalans, leaving only limited options in their attack.
Barca are currently looking for an emergency replacement to the Frenchman, with names like Angel Rodriguez, Willian Jose and Lucas Perez in the wishlist.
Suarez has managed to rack up 11 goals and 7 assist in La Liga this season before his injury, making him the club's second top scorer behind Lionel Messi.
Quique Setien’s men will play Getafe in their next La Liga fixture.
