Bayern Munich make Leipzig's Dayot Upamecano their summer priority
Bayern Munich have identified RB Leipzig centre-back Dayot Upamecano as a priority in the summer transfer window.
The French defender has caught the attention of many top clubs including the likes of Barcelona, Tottenham and Manchester United following his impressive campaign in Bundesliga.
According to France Football, Bavarians have sorted out the 21-year-old as a top target for the summer.
It was previously reported that Spurs manager Jose Mourinho scouted the French U-21 star personally during Leipzig's Bundesliga fixture against Bayern. Upamecano turned out to be decisive in that game where Julian Nagelsmann’s side played out a goalless draw.
Bayern's defence has so far endured an injury-ridden campaign with players like Niklas Sule and Lucas Hernandez getting sidelined for a longer period.
Moreover, Jerome Boateng's form is also questionable following his string of unimpressive displays this season.
The Bavarians are currently topping the league table, one point ahead of Leipzig. They will next face Paderborn before their Champions League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
