Barcelona eyeing summer move for Manchester City ace
Barcelona are reportedly considering the signing of Manchester City ace Bernardo Silva in the summer transfer window.
City have been handed a two-year UCL ban for their breach in FFP, thereby leaving many players’ future uncertain.
According to Goal.com, Barca will try to sign the Portuguese star for a cut-price deal in the summer despite Pep Guardiola’s reluctance to sell him.
Silva has been playing a significant part under Guardiola – both as a midfielder and a winger – and has racked up 5 goals and 5 assists in the Premier League this season.
The former Monaco ace made his witch to the Etihad in 2017 and has since played more than 100 matches in a sky blue shirt while earning 43 caps for his national side.
The 25-year-old's best moment with Portugal's senior team arrived last year when he assisted for Goncalo Guedes’ winner in the Nations League final. Silva would win the player of the tournament award.
Barca are currently trailing the table-toppers Real Madrid by a point, and a win against Eibar would place them at the top.
