Barcelona and Arsenal are reportedly prepared to compete with Liverpool in the race to sign Layvin Kurzawa on a free transfer.

The Frenchman's current deal with Paris Saint-Germain expires at the end of the season and he is expected to pursue a fresh challenge elsewhere.

Jurgen Klopp's side are believed to be considering a move for the Frenchman as they seek to find a suitable back-up for Andrew Robertson.

However, according to AS, the Reds are likely to face competition from the Blaugrana and Gunners, who are similarly aiming to strengthen the left-back spot.

The Blaugrana are said to be eyeing a new deputy to Jordi Alba with Junior Firpo yet to sufficiently impress following his move from Real Betis last summer.

Arsenal, on the other hand, are understood to be planning a summer rebuild and they are weighing up a replacement for Sead Kolasinac, who has been fancied to head through the exit door.

Kurzawa has made 123 appearances for Les Parisiens since his move from AS Monaco more than four years ago. He has suffered multiple injuries during his time at the club but remains on the radar of top European sides.
