Chelsea enter the race to sign 15-goal attacker

Kai Havertz news

Chelsea in for Havertz?

Chelsea have reportedly joined the likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the race to sign Kai Havertz during the next transfer window.

The Germany international has flourished for Bayer Leverkusen in the current season and he has bagged 15 goals and eight assists across all competitions.

Out of those, he has contributed 12 goals and seven assists since the winter break and he is currently one of the in-form players in world football.

The Blues have already signed Hakim Ziyech from Ajax and they are deemed to have agreed on a deal in principle for RB Leipzig forward Timo Werner.

Still, manager Frank Lampard seems to be eyeing attacking reinforcements and Havertz has now emerged as the next target for the summer.

No club has yet to make a formal bid to sign the German but reports claim that Leverkusen won't entertain offers less than £70m for his sale.

Bayern Munich and Real Madrid are said to be keeping a close track on his performances since the Bundesliga season restarted last month.
